Coffee Meets Bagel hopes to offer users better quality matches by sending curated matches, or "Bagels," each day at noon. They suggest ice breakers for first messages and the profiles are more in-depth than Tinder. For people who like a little extra hand-holding, CMB isn't the worst option. However, I felt the app was confusing to use; too many features and too many gimmicks. I shouldn't have to lookup online tutorials to figure out how to use a dating app. And why call matches Bagels?
The first thing to pay attention to: your photos. According to online dating experts, 3 photos are a must for each person's profile. The first one should be your portrait picture so that other users can clearly see your face even on small screens of their devices. The second one should be a full body picture so that people can see your figure, and the third one should feature you engaged in something you love. People want to see your eyes, so don't upload photos where you are wearing sunglasses.

But the most appealing finding about these two dating sites is that their online daters are very serious about relationships. According to a recent survey conducted by GFK Knowledge Panel, the top three reasons to use an international dating site is to: find Companionship (67%), find true love (60%) and to find a life partner (59%). Fewer of these international daters are looking for marriage. Only about 31% are. Nor are they looking to start a family; necessarily, only about 19% fall into this category. But they are more likely than online daters in general to want to focus on settling down.

Embarking on international dating was quite challenging for me. However, I was so interested in meeting women from Eastern Europe that I overcame my shyness and registered on this site. It was a nice surprise for me that my Ukrainian matches have a good command of English. They are very nice to talk to, and I feel quite confident communicating with them.
Anastasia International, while not directly colluding in the scams, runs a highly profitable business model that allows them to flourish. While real and lasting liaisons do occasionally form through the site, more often it only serves to increase the concentric circles of mistrust, disappointment and heartbreak for all involved. Anastasia insists that it weeds out scams whenever it finds them, and has banned some women from the site. It also says it will reimburse clients who fall victims to scams, and provides advice on how to avoid them.
Depending on your personal preferences, some sections of the user base may be less active than others. This can be frustrating if you are looking for quick matches. The website does require users to pay for a membership subscription before they can see the last active date for members, which is a downside since you won’t know if the matches you’re interested in are active until after you pay.
As internet dating has gone mainstream over the past decade, Anastasia is attempting to rebrand what was once called the "mail-order bride" industry as something modern and progressive. This is no longer the preserve of seedy and exploitative men seeking vulnerable women from impoverished backgrounds to work as a longterm sex slave, the marketing suggests. This is "international dating", a civilised way to find romance without borders.
After describing yourself and your ideal partner, you’re free to search for matches. It’s up to you to decide whether you want to finish your profile now or start searching for your ideal match immediately. If you opt for finishing later, UkraineDate will sporadically require you to answer 2-3 more questions for your profile before you can continue with what you were doing.
On the upside the profiles are brief, which allows you to make decisions quickly. The downside is that short profiles make it harder to figure out what people are looking for. Knowing very little about a person can also make initial messaging more challenging. You'll need to wade through a sea of profiles, which makes it easy to pass over people you might have given a chance under different circumstances.
Todd did not even get to the date stage; in retrospect, perhaps a lucky escape. The women took their cut of cash for chatting with him, but did not answer his calls when he arrived. He later wrote to me: "It took me about a month to process what happened and get over it. I've decided to close that chapter in my life and move on. I am now concentrating on me and my life and to do things that make me a better person. And to pursue the other hopes and dreams that I have. Will I ever find my other half? One can only wonder. At least I can say I tried. If I die a bachelor, so be it."
Remember these points too: colorful photos are more attractive than black-and-white ones; never upload pictures of you with a drink, which is a top turn-off; and make sure that your profile photo and other pictures reflect your true nature. It will be very frustrating for a woman to see a huge difference between you as shown in the picture and you as you really are in real life.
